Below is the online form to make your annual Shared Sacred Partnership commitment at a level that is meaningful, that is affordable, and that will support BJBE’s needs.

Commitments from our members are critical to fulfilling our mission and supporting our five core values. We all belong at BJBE. We all have a stake in BJBE’s future. We are all BJBE Partners. We are counting on every household to consider a meaningful commitment to our Shared Sacred Partnership, and for current members, if at all possible, to increase your annual contribution over last year’s.

In gratitude for your exemplary support, Partners who commit at the $3,600 level and above will be recognized in the following categories unless anonymity is requested.

You may wish to make your commitment with stock or mutual funds which have appreciated (and which you have held onto for more than one year). You will receive a full charitable deduction for your gift, and also bypass the capital gains tax.

An IRA charitable contribution allows you to make a tax-free gift from your individual retirement account (IRA). Each year, individuals 70.5 years of age or older must take a required minimum distribution (RMD) from their IRAs. Typically, that distribution is taxed. If you meet the age requirement and are in a position to make a gift, you may transfer money directly from your IRA to Congregation BJBE 100% income tax-free. The maximum amount that can be transferred and excluded from your taxable income under this law is $100,000 annually. Note there is no charitable deduction for the gift but, the amount transferred can be counted toward your RMD.
